I forgot to link to Simon's blog on the side bit there. Look over there for a link to a proper blog, read by famous people >>>>>>>>

List of the search terms filtered by China

This is the list of 236 terms that China filters from web searches. These include "fetus soup". Apparently it's a delicacy. Yum.

The anti-phonetic alphabet

Via look at this. This is quite clever: the alphabet of letters anti-phonetically, for example "C as in Cue". Shows what a strange language we speak.

Can you bear the thought of being a carnivore?

This is a truly excellent article about the spurious argument of people who like meat "as long as it doesn't have a face". It's pretty thought-provoking, and I find myself agreeing with it almost entirely. It won best post in the 2005 food blog awards.

She loves it

From b3ta. You may think she looks strangely happy about what has happened to her, almost as if an asinine magazine for idiots had badly misjudged its first cover. Wrong. I think that the baby loivng headline writer is boasting about his father.

How to tell if someone deserves a kicking, part 1

They are wearing this tie.

Revenge of the Sith abridged script

So my first post is a geeky one: this Star Wars script satire. Oh well, no sense setting out to be cool and that. It is really spot-on though. My favourite bit is:

EXT. UTAPAU

EWAN MCGREGOR finds out that GENERAL GREVIOUS is hiding on
UTAPAU. He jumps on a RIDICULOUSLY LOUD AND ANNOYING IGUANA.

IGUANA
Shriek! Shriek!

The IGUANA'S sounds are ear-piercing and awful, making the
AUDIENCE MISERABLE during any scene containing it. EWAN
rides it up to GENERAL GREVIOUS and challenges him.

I'm not really sure I want a blog...

But I'm going to try it anyway, as a repository for all the interesting stuff and nonsense that exisits on the internets and flies around in emails. I will try to add at least one thing a day. Though to be honest, that's never going to happen.

Ever gone into an exam without revising?

This one came from Karen. A real answer from an exam. Class.
